Stress

Have ever wondered life is so stressful? and  full of frustrations, deadlines to meet, assignments to complete and many other things to be done.
 wonder what causes stress and wish to have a stress free life ?



Stress is  a reaction or response to a stimulus that disturbs our physical or mental equilibrium
stress hormones  are adrenaline and cortisol. these hormones helps to regulate stress, cortisol is the main stress hormone while adrenaline is the flight and fight hormones. stress is not always bad,proper functioning of the body require amount of stress.
stress can be managed properly, and it can help one to be able to perform under pressure and it can also motivate you to do your best.
 stress overload can lead various problem such as cognitive  symptoms like: memory problems, inability to concentrate, poor judgment, only seeing,  constant worrying, anxious and racing thoughts.
Emotional symptoms: moodiness, irritability or short temper, feeling overwhelmed, sense of  loneliness and isolation, depression or general unhappiness,agitation,inability to relax.
Physical symptoms: aches and pains, diarrhea or constipation,nausea,dizziness,chest pain, rapid heartburn
behavioral symptoms such eating too much or too less, sleeping too much or less,procrastination and nervous activities such as biting of nails and pacing
causes of overload of stress;
 there are common external causes such as: work, school, relationship difficulties, children and family, being too busy, financial problems.
 Another cause of stress is internal causes such as excessive, pessimism, all or nothing attitude
 how to manage stress overload;
  1. social engagement and support your network
  2. exercise regularly
  3. be prompt and avoid procrastination
  4.  have confidence in yourself and self control
  5. deal with your emotions,attitude and outlook
  6. have proper knowledge and be prepared
